PERDUE, MERINO, DUNN, YOUNKER

Roy Harold Perdue, 63 retired Northwestern Bell Telephone company employee, died at 7:55 this morning at the Cass County Memorial hospital. He was a resident of 406 Ridge Road and entered the hospital Sunday.

The son of John and Lottie Dunn Perdue, he was born May 1, 1904, at Malvern and was married to Ethel M Younker at Council Bluffs July 12, 1924. They made their home in the Council Bluffs area until moving to Atlantic in April, 1948. He was construction foreman for the Bell company for 37-1/2 years until retiring July 1, 1966. Mr. Perdue was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters Mrs. Alice Merino of Council Bluffs and Bernice Ann Perdue of Des Moines and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Perdue in World War I.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Meyer funeral home, with Rev. Paul Holman officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Lawn cemetery at Council Bluffs.
