Mrs. Louis Smith Laid To Rest
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 11, at the Roland Funeral Home for Mrs. LOUIS SMITH, 61. Rev DEAN WILLIAMS of the First United Presbyterian Church officiated.
Mrs. WALTER LYON played the organ selections “How Great Thou Art” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Mr. and Mrs. LEO WESTPHALEN and Mr. and Mrs. CARL KELLER were in charge of the floral arrangements.
Casket bearers were MARION WALKER, Jr., DONALD HELMTS, HARVEY SORENSEN, EMMERT JOHNSON, MALCOLM POLLOCK and HILMER MOLGAARD. Burial was in the Oakfield Cemetery east of Brayton.
WILMA SMITH, daughter of JOHN and LAURA HANSEN LARSEN, was born Oct. 10, 1915, northwest of Brayton, and passed away Saturday afternoon, Oct. 8, at the Cass County Hospital. She had lived all of her life in Audubon and Cass Counties. On Dec. 7, 1963, she was united in marriage to LOUIS SMITH at The Little Brown Church in Nashua. They lived north of Wiota.
She is survived by her husband, LOUIS; a brother, GLENN LARSEN, of Dallas Tex., an aunt, ROSE THOMPSON of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two uncles, JOE LARSEN of Atlantic and BILL LARSEN of Ada, Minn., and a niece, Miss EDNA KAY STANLEY of Audubon. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, IRENE STANLEY.
