Wm. F. Crisman
Died Following
A Long Illness

--------
Had Been Exira Resident
Past 32 Years. Funeral
Held Saturday

--------

William F. Crisman, well known
resident of Exira, died last Thurs-
day afternoon about 5 o'clock at
the family home. He had been un-
able to work at his trade of car-
pentry the past year and for the
past two months had been confined
to his bed. His age was 63 years,
five months and six days.

Mr. Crisman was born at Musca-
tine, Iowa, on January 30, 1870. At
the tender age of six months he
came to Cass county and had since
lived in Cass and Audubon counties.
His mother died when he was two
years of age and he was nine years
of age when his father died. Fol-
lowing the death of his paents, he
made his home with his uncle, Wil-
liam Crisman in Atlantic. He had
resided in Exira the past 32 years.

Mr. Crisman was united in mar-
riage to Miss Lillian Earley on
April 16, 1901. The ceremony was
performed at Exira by the Rev.
Wissler, a former pastor here. To
this union two children were born
both of whom died in infancy.

The deceased was a member of
the Congregational church. During
his entire illness he was patient and
kindly and went to his reward with
a firm reliance upon the One in
Whom he trusted. His memory will
long remain in the community
where he spent the major portion of
his lifetime, and his many friends
join with his wife in the grief of the
parting.

Funeral services were held at the
home Saturday afternoon at 1:30
with the Rev. A. G. Whittier in
charge. Burial was in the Atlantic
cemetery.
