September 8, 1945Butler-Grinstead Nuptials in Omaha Friday
In a double ring ceremony last evening at 7 o’clock at the Presbyterian parsonage in Omaha, Miss Maxine Butler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Butler of south of Atlantic, and Logan Grinstead of Cumberland were united in marriage. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Arthur Murray, Jr.
The bride wore a street length dress of pale blue and her corsage was of pink and white carnations.
Mrs. Grinstead was graduated from the Atlantic high school in 1941 and taught in rural schools for a year and a half. Since then, she has been employed with Western Union in Omaha. Mr. Grinstead left here with Company K in February, 1941, and was held prisoner by the Germans for 27 months following his capture at Faid Pass. He received his army discharge Sept. 1.
The couple will reside in Omaha, where both are employed.
Guests at the wedding were Oscar Grinstead, uncle of the groom; Miss Deloris Grinstead and Evelyn Raser, all of Omaha.
