December 8, 1921Miss Dorothy Paulsen Weds Mr. Harold Raymond Malone
On Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 at the Methodist parsonage, the Rev. F. W. Simpson united in marriage Miss Dorothy Paulsen, daughter of Mrs. Jacob Paulsen, 1001 Locust street, and Mr. Harold Raymond Malone, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Malone, who reside on a farm south of the city.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Malone, brother and sister-in-law of the groom, attended the couple.
The bride wore a beautiful navy blue traveling suit.
Both the bride and groom are well known in the city. Mrs. Malone for four years, worked in the Rothschild grain offices, and later held the responsible position of first deputy to the county treasurer. Mr. Malone is a farmer. He is a world war veteran, having been a sergeant in the 337th Field Artillery, and was in service in France for six months following his training in the states. He is an officer of high rank in the local Elks lodge.
Mr. and Mrs. Malone left on the east bound flyer Wednesday afternoon for Des Moines for a few days. On their return they will immediately go to housekeeping on a farm twelve miles southeast of Atlantic.
After the ceremony friends of the bride and groom gave them a joy ride over the city in a lumber wagon decorated appropriately for the occasion. As the couple boarded the train bills were distributed to passengers, announcing that a newly married couple had boarded the train and asking the passengers to extend congratulations.
