SCRANTON - Services for Macy Sara Kirk, 71, of Scranton will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church here, with the Rev. David Barker officiating. Burial will be in the Scranton Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton, where there will be a prayer service for the family and friends at 8 p.m. Friday. The casket will be taken to the church Saturday at 12:30 p.m. for viewing until the hour of rites.
A lifelong Scranton resident and cook at the school here for the last 27 years, Miss Kirk died at 10:25 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson. She was born at Scranton April 7, 1904, a daughter of Lou G. and Kizzie Gibson Kirk. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Scranton.
Surviving are a son, Gerald R. Boyd of Scranton; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ted (Lillian) Walter of Scranton, Mrs. Leo (Amy) Gliem of Perry and Mrs. Peter (Doris) Fleming of Menlo; and three brothers, Frank of Cedar Rapids, Mike of Scranton and George of Guthrie Center.
