She served for over 40 years on the Aplington Library Board and several years on the ARC Board. She loved making memories with her family and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school activities and events. She loved going up to the family lake house at Lake Cornelia.

Marilyn was a friend to everyone and always made everyone feel at home. She very much enjoyed cooking, baking, and hosting lots of family and friend get-togethers, especially with the card club. She had a strong passion for reading, teaching and most of all spending time with her kids and grandkids.
