Parkersburg, Iowa, Aug. 29.Mrs. Peter Christopherson committed suicide this morning by hanging herself in a clothes closet. The children were at school, and on their return home at noon were unable to get into the house. After trying different methods to effect an entrance they went and told their father, who conducts a bakery here. He went with the children to the home, and finally had to force an entrance by breaking open a door. The body of Mrs. Christopherson was found in a small clothes closet off of one of the rooms. She had placed a rope around her neck while standing on a stool and when she had fastened the rope over-head kicked the stool from under her feet and was choked to death. The deceased was about 40 years of age. She had been suffering from acute melancholia, and had made a previous attempt to kill herself. Lately she had been improved somewhat and her friends supposed she had no further designs on herself.
