Last Sunday afternoon from the Lutheran church were held the last sad rites for Mrs. August Malmberg, of this place.

Rev. Ostergreen officiated at the services and interment was made in Fairfield cemetery

Mrs. Christina Malmberg was born in Sweden, Europe, on April 18th, 1853. She came to America in 1878. She located in Chicago and there married a Mr. Swanson and he passed away after a few years. She came to this vicinity in 1893 being at that time a widow with one foster son. She was marred to Mr. Malmberg on June 1st, 1893 and shortly after joined the Lutheran church. After a short illness she died here in the 19th of this month being at her death aged 67 years, 1 month and 1 day.

She leaves to morun her departure her aged husband, Mr. Malmberg; her daughter, Mrs. Robert Olson and family; her stepdaughter, Mrs. Hulda Olson and son; her foster son, Ed Swanson and family besides many relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. Malmberg had many friends because she was always willing to serve where needed.

The sympathy of all is given to the bereaved loved ones.
