August Theodore Peterson

A sudden gloom fell over the community when the news spread around on Monday morning that August T. Peterson had passed away at 2:00 o'clock that morning. The cause of this sudden death was heart trouble although he had not been feeling the best at all times he attended the meeting in the forenoon at the Lutheran church and was apparantly as usual when he went to bed on Sunday evening. Some few minutes before 2:00 o'clock his wife noticed him making some peculiar sounds and breathing heavy she became alarmed and lighted a lamp but life was extinct before she could reach his side.

August Theodore Peterson was born in Ljung, Ostergotland, Sweden, March 14, 1866. Bāptized and confirmed in the same parish. He arrived in this country in 1881 and settled on the farm which until his death remained his home. Was united in marriage to Anna Christina Miller on the 10th of March 1896.

She died Feb. 6, 1897. He remarried on November 6th, 1899 to Hilma Augusta Kindberg. To them have been born six children, four boys and two girls. Of the latter one died in 1905. At the time of his death he was 49 years, 7 months and
4 days old.

He is survived by a wife and five children. Three brothers, Emil, Victor and John Harold, a sister Mrs. Chas. Swanson of Comfrey, Minn., and an aged mother living here.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 12:00 o'clock in the house and at 1:00 p. m. at the the Swedish Lutheran church where he was a faithful member and one of the Trustees.
