Entertain for Miss Hinkhouse*

Misses Eva, Coulson and Genevieve Benedict delightfully, entertained a company of 16 young ladies at a 6:30 o'clock dinner at the former's home at 428 Grand avenue Tuesday evening, complimenting Miss Nelle Hinkhouse, manual training teacher in the local high school the past year, who leaves this week for her home at West Liberty to spend the summer vacation. The tables were prettily decorated for the occasion a color scheme of pink and white being used. Pink and white sweet peas formed the center piece for each table, and pink candles were also used. Dainty place cards designated each place. A delicious four-course dinner was served, and was followed by an evening of bridge, with prizes being awarded the winners. The affair was a very pleasant one.

*Exact date of publication unknown. Dating this item proves more difficult than the others submitted by J. Williams. Since it appears to be of the same age, I have assumed it, too, was published in 1921. Since it deals with an event at the end of a school year, I have, also, assumed it appeared in either May or June of that year. PN (CC)
