The Lenius family lived accross the street from me in Independence, Iowa about 1964. More than likely relatives of the Lenius family in your query. Check the Independence Genealogical Society, located in the basement of the firestation in Independence. It is a fantastic repository for Buchanan county information. Your post did catch my eye because I am also researching the KIES surname of which I have a lot of information. Would love to hear from you.
