look-up help

I live in Pa and I am doing family research on my mothers side with the name IRWIN,IRVIN.
I believe I my have found my gg/grandfather in Buchanan Co Iowa but need help in trying to get further confirmation about him. Who or where could I contact someone to do a lookup for me?
I've been looking for over 20 years for him and am very excited to find out for sure that this may be him. Hoping to find an obit or some sort of death notice for any family member.I know where they are buried and have found some census records with some family information.I would appreciate anyones help and would be glad to compensate for any information provided.
