Hi Linda - I came across your post while researching my gg-grandfather's history. He was Charles Edward Madison and was the brother of Nicholas Madison, and both were born in St Lawrence county, NY. I have found virtually all censuses for Nicholas and Amanda (Webb), but in none of them is she called Nancy, and never are Charles Eugene, Camden, or Harry listed as their children. This Amanda does have a sister named Nancy, born in 1846 in St Lawrence county.
Have you been able to discover more about your Nancy, and are we talking about the same family? I know it's been a while since you posted this, so I'm hoping you still check this site.
