Marian "Mickey" Marlene Fasse, 82, of Urbandale, Iowa and formerly of the Denver area, died on July 5, 2012 at the Kennybrook Village in Grimes, Iowa.

Mickey was born on March 6, 1930 in West Union, Iowa, the daughter of Carl Frederick and Martha Marie (Buss) Krueger. She was baptized on April 6, 1930, at West Union, Iowa. She was confirmed on April 2, 1944 by Pastor Fred Schoenbohm at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Denver, Iowa.

Mickey attended and taught bible school, Sunday school, Luther League and directed church choirs. While attending St. Peter's Lutheran, she sang solos, trios, and sang in the church choir. She attended Denver Elementary School and graduated from Denver High School on May 23, 1948. She was united in marriage to Vernon W. Fasse of Readlyn, Iowa on July 18, 1948 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wyckoff, Minnesota by Pastor Albert Guetzlaff. As a pastor's wife she attended E.L.C. W. ladies circles.

She was employed by Lutheran Mutual Life Insurance Company in Waverly, Iowa; Meredith Publishing Company, Des Moines, Iowa; Arlington Elementary School, Arlington, Iowa; and A.C. Nielsen Clearing House in Clinton, Iowa. Most recently she was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mickey is survived by a son Mark (Linda) Fasse of Urbandale, Iowa; two daughters, Joan (Terry) Fliehler of Allison, Iowa; Ann Fasse of Urbandale, Iowa; four grandchildren, Shannon (Matt) Droessler and their sons, Wyatt, Garrett and Everett; Ben (Monica) Fasse and their daughter, Kennedy; Jason (Beth) Fliehler and their children, Dillon and Laney; Brad (Kaarin) Fasse and their daughters, Hannah and Emma; one brother, Donald (Arlene) Krueger of Rochester, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernon on September 17, 2005 and a brother Wallace Krueger.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Pastor Alan Schulz officiating. Burial will be held in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Denver, Iowa.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver and also for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Memorials may be directed to Wartburg College's music department, with an emphasis on piano instruction. Online condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com.
