MRS. LENA WELTER SERVICES ARE HELD

Funeral services were conducted at St. John's Catholic church, Waterloo, at 9:30 Tuesday morning, April 10, for Mrs. Lena Welter, 69.

She was born on February 7, 1887, in Gilbertville, Iowa, the daughter of John and Magdalene Schuler, and died at Schoitz Memorial hospital, Waterloo, at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, April 7 of a secondary occlusion.

In 1906, she was married to Christian Welter. He preceded her in death in 1941.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Evelyn McFarlane of Waterloo, Mrs. Jennie Deberg of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., Mrs. Pauline Peverell, Mrs. Esther Courter and Mrs. Gertrude Williams, all of Waterloo and Mrs. Leona Kayser of Independence; three sons, Melvin, John and Robert, all of Waterloo; 28 grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Matt of Independence and William of Jesup; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Amfahr, of Jesup, Mrs. Agnes Bastendorf of Mt. Auburn and Mrs. John Amfahr of Waterloo.

Burial was in the Raymond Catholic cemetery.
