CEDAR FALLS - Claudia Rae Kinder, 63, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

She was born Nov. 3, 1950, in Perry, daughter of William and Barbara Duncan Kinder.

Claudia graduated from Price Lab in 1969. She worked at the School for the Blind in Vinton, then moved back to Cedar Falls and worked as a nurse’s aide at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo. She went into the restaurant industry and worked at various places, including Maid Rite. She retired from Eurest Dining Services at CUNA Mutual, Waverly.

Survived by a brother, Bob (Janet) Kinder of Golden, Colo.; a sister, Pam (Randy) Scoles of Lakewood, Colo.; a nephew, Randy Scoles, a niece, Carrie Copley, and their families.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Claudia enjoyed bingo and watching movies on television. Most of all, she loved visiting her nieces and nephews in Colorado and learning about their activities. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
