Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chapel of Memories West for Woodrow H. (Woodie) Brunk, 56, of 1236, Columbia St., who died at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of an acute coronary occlusion. The Rev. C. Wayne Overholser, associate pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, where flag-folding rites will be conducted by Amvet post No. 19, Waterloo.

He was born Feb. 29, 1916 at Ottumwa, the son of George and Iva Small Brunk. He was educated in the Waterloo schools and had been employed by the Rath Packing Co. since 1937. He had served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Mr. Brunk had resided in the Waterloo area for the past 44 years. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church.

He married Marian Reichen on May 5, 1940 at Nashua.

He is survived by his wife, four brothers: Carl G. and William C. of Naples, Fla.; Volney H. and Hubert J. of Ottumwa; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Loy of 114 Lonetree Road, Cedar Falls; Mrs. Murriel Kratzer of Ottumwa and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
