WATERLOO - Velma Mae Otterman Shrader, 95, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born May 11, 1911, in Burt, daughter of Bert and Mabel Murray DeLapp. She married Howard Otterman on Dec. 21, 1942, in St. Joseph, Mo. He died Jan. 4, 1973. She married Wayne Shrader on May 11, 1982. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Shrader had worked for Rath Packing Co. from 1926 until 1969.

Survivors include three daughters, Glennis Otterman and Kristi (Tim) Engstrom, both of Waterloo, and Gayle (Keith) McInroy of Charles City; a stepdaughter, Barbara Koger of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Julie (Daryl) Jordan, Kevin Good, Wade and Ward McInroy, Kaci (Carl) Yant, and Kara (Jeff) Nelson; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Floyd, Carl and Harold DeLapp.

Graveside memorial services: 1 p.m. Thursday in the Last Supper Section at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Following services the family will be receiving friends at 125 Faber Road, Waterloo. The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball is in charge of arrangements.
