WATERLOO - William "Buzz" Moore, 75, of Marshalltown, formerly of Waterloo and Belle Plaine, died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

He was born Dec. 3, 1930, in Waterloo, son of William Arthur and Ruth Isadore Dudley Moore. He married JoAnne Peddington in 1955 and they later divorced. He then married Dolores A. Jacobson on Nov. 28, 1962.

Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Marine Corps on the USS Manchester during the Korean War. He owned Moore#'s Bakery in Belle Plaine, then worked as head baker for various Hy-Vees in the Waterloo and Eldora area for 10 years until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, William Dennis (Lynn) of West Union, Michael Richard (Sherri) of Janesville and Brian Patrick (Andrea) of Cedar Rapids; four daughters, Pamela (Nick) Knebel of Everett, Wash., Patricia (Tim) Hayes of Waterloo, Ginger (Hifzur) Rehman of Davenport and Lynette (Ernie) Garcia of Los Alimitos, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Jay Moore.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Church of the Open Bible, with inurnment later. Public visitation 5 to 8 p.m. today and for an hour before services Wednesday, all at the church. Military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 following the service. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

He loved to fish, camp and spend time with his family. William will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
