WATERLOO - Dorothy Katherine Bunce, 88, of Waterloo, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Aug.16, 1926, in Garber, daughter of Herman and Mary Sickels Voss. On Oct. 16, 1948, she married Vernon “Bud” Bunce in Waterloo; he preceded her in death.

Dorothy graduated from Littleport High School in 1944. She was a homemaker and was a member of New Day Christian Church, Evansdale.

Survived by three daughters, Diane (David) Duneman of Burford, Ga., Delores Phelps of Dubuque and Donna Kozich of Walford; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Regina (Gerald) Buls of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Doreen Bunce; a son, Keith; and four brothers, Burdette, Chester, Aloyus and Laveryl Voss.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at New Day Christian Center, Evansdale, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Parrot & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Dorothy was well known for baking pies and cookies. She enjoyed her large garden and giving away her vegetables. She especially loved her roses.
