EVANSDALE - Victor Boyd Barber Sr., 49, of Evansdale, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2996, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Aug. 6 in Waterloo.

He was born Dec. 11, 1956, in Waterloo, son of David and Kathy Wegner Barber. He married Donna Hulsing, and they were later divorced. He then married Juanita Tovar.

Mr. Barber was currently working at Kelly's Home Improvement Solutions.

Survived by his wife, Juanita "Tootie" Barber of Evansdale; his father, David (Judy Castile) Barber of Evansdale; his mother Kathy (Kay) Turner of New Hampton; two sons, Vic Jr. (Veronica Nagel) of Waterloo and Chad (Emily Heymann) of Minnesota; a stepson, Joshua (Miranda Clabough) Halley of Waterloo; two daughters, Angie Hamer and Jamie (Elvin) Gomez, both of Waterloo; three brothers: David of Waterloo, Tom (Melissa) of Texas and Jim (Twana) of Oklahoma; a stepbrother, Richard Turner of New Hampton; two sisters, Vanessa (Roy) Wright of Evansdale and Teresse Xiong of Sioux City; and many grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Barber.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Garden View Chapel, with inurnment in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Saturday at the chapel.

A memorial fund will be established at a later date.
