WATERLOO — Margaret Grace Young, 91, of Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, formerly of Cedar River Towers, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at Ravenwood of natural causes.

She was born March 26, 1908, in La Porte City, daughter of Raymond Guy and Elizabeth Eslelle Trost Young. Ms. Young graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Dubuque and was a surgical nurse at South Chicago Community Hospital for 34 years, retiring in 1970.

Survived by three local cousins, Carolyn Burvee of Waterloo, and Gary and William Wolfe, both of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a sister, Alice Young.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Eagle Center. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service/South Street, with a 4 p.m. Legion of Mary rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service, and also for an hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
