Cindy Rae Staebell, 48, of rural Dunkerton, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at the Covenant Medical Center emergency room, Waterloo. The cause of death pending an autopsy report.

She was born July 5, 1952, in Waterloo, daughter of Morris and Betty Bemus See. She married Paul Jerome Staebell on May 22, 1971, in Waterloo. Mrs. Staebell was a 1970 graduate of Waterloo West High School and was employed at KRP Foods, Waterloo.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Lisa Staebell of Dunkerton and Rebecca Staebell of Waterloo; a son, Paul J. of Eldridge; three grandchildren; her parents of Waterloo; and two sisters, Sandra White of Waterloo and Debra Buhr of Sumner.

Preceded in death by a brother, Scott See.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church-Barclay, rural Dunkerton, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
