Gray Woman Called
Mrs. Anna Garber, daughter of Joel and Marie Mitchel of Pennsylvania, was born in Green County, Penn., June 22, 1854, and departed from this life at her home in Gray, Iowa, May 1, 1917, at the age of 62 years, 10 months and 12 days. She came to Iowa in 1872 and was united in marriage to John Garber, September 7, 1875, who departed from this life July 5, 1915, at Gray. To this union five children were born, all of whom survive her, three girls and two boys: George W. and James Garber and Mrs. Dustin, of Gray, Iowa, Mrs. W. J. Markley of Manning, Iowa, and Mrs. Imo Halliday of Hancock, Iowa; also ten grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her loss. She was laid to rest at Cameron Center by the side of her husband who passed away two years ago; the children have the sympathy of the community in their loss. -- Advocate
