SWEET LITTLE LIFE
CALLED TO MASTER

Vernon Wilbur Akers, the young-
est son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
Akers, was born June 20th, 1913
and died August 8th, 1919, at the
age of 6 years, 1 month, 19 days.

Besides his sad parents he leaves
seven brothers and sisters. They
were Gerald, Olive, Violette, Ther-
esa, Ralph, Earl and Irmal. There
are also numerous relatives and
friends.

Vernon was a sweet, lovable
child on which the curse of sin had
not yet fallen. He loved his Sun-
day School and his teacher and was
the best little worker in the Class.

His last sickness started with his
tonsils. These spread poison thru
his body. His death was brought
on by hemorrhage. His last words
were "I'm tired." And then he lay
down to rest.

Funeral services were conducted
by Rev. Matson in the Christian
Church Saturday afternoon and in-
terment was made in the Exira
cemetery. The bereaved family
have the sympathy of all.
"Now like a dewdrop shrined
Within a crystal stone,
Thou'rt safe in Heaven; my boy!
Safe with the Source of Love,
The Everlasting One.
And when the hour arrives
From flesh that sets me free,
Thou shalt there await
The first at Heaven's gate,
To meet and welcome me."
