Mary D. Heath, 76, went to be with Jesus, her loving Savior, on Monday, Dec.10, 2007. She was a long-time Boulder resident who lived the last three years of her life in a Colorado Springs care facility near her children. She brought joy to everyone around her and was deeply loved. Mary was born on Sept. 19, 1931 in Exira, Iowa to Gregory and Cary Rains. Her gifted piano playing led her to CU-Boulder where she earned her Bachelors of Music. While at CU, she met and married the love of her life, Roger C. Heath. For 51 years they taught and made beautiful music together. Mary particularly enjoyed teaching piano to children and directing children's church choirs. Mary was the beloved mother of three children: Gary, Miami, Greg (Pam), Mesa, and Sherry (Bill) Cory, Colorado Springs. She was also the proud grandmother of Quinn and Sarah Cory, and Sabrina Heath. Mary's sweet spirit and beautiful smile will be dearly missed by her family. She was one of God's treasured children, and we are comforted knowing that she is rejoicing in heaven. Services will be in Boulder, CO. Memorial contributions may be given to Works Family Memorial Fund, www.newlifechurch.org.
