AUDUBON COUNTY PIONEER
DIES AT ROCHESTER

Wm. Krauel, Sr., pioneer of this
county and a long time resident of
Audubon, died Tuesday at Rochester,
Minnesota, according to a message re-
ceived in Audubon that evening. Mr.
Krauel recently underwent a major
operation at the Mayo hospital and
failed to rally from its effects.

The deceased was born in Germany
June 7, 1855, and came to this country
when a lad. He is survived by two
sons and two daughters. They are
Chris and William Krauel and Laura
Krauel of Audubon, and Mrs. Roe
Passmore of Guthrie Center.

Funeral services were held today
at two o'clock, at the Presbyterian
church in Audubon, with Rev. O. B.
Lee in charge. Interment was in
Maple Grove cemetery.
