EXIRA SCHOOL NEWS

The Juniors presented an excellent
program last Wednesday afternoon.

Their first number was a boost for
the Junior class in the style of a
church service. Adrian Corl acted as
minister and Harry Hocamp as Dea-
con Snodgrass. Several selections
were sung by the Junior congregation
and by the choir, the latter composed
of Maxine and Ellowene Mardesen,
Ninabelle Nancarrow, Leo Hanson and
Arnold May.

The second number was a reading,
"How I Hunted a Mouse," by Nina-
belle Nancarrow; the third a piano
solo, "Waltz of the Flowers," by Mir-
iam Bartlett; the fourth, a declama-
tory reading, "At the Swimming
Pool," by Dagny Christensen and the
last, a trio composed of Maxine Mar-
desen, Ninabelle Nancarrow and Erle
Bowen. They sang "Baby Face" and
"My Cutey's Due." The were ac-
companied by Anna Stonebreaker at
the piano.

This program, with all its spice,
temporarily relieved the minds of
students and teachers from tests
which occurred the following day.
