Large Number Attend
Wedding Anniversary
At Struthers Home

A large number of relatives and
friends were at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. George Struthers to pay
their respects to this worthy
couple and help them celebrate
their 50th wedding anniversary
Sunday.

A long table was erected in the
grove adjacent to highway 71 on
their place three miles north of
town (Exira) and the guests enjoyed a
bounteous dinner there.

Mr. and Mrs. Struthers were
married June 30, 1886, the cele-
bration being held on Sunday for
conv(en)ience. They received ma(n)y nice
gifts as tokens of the high esteem
in which they are held.

Note: Parents of George Westley Struthers were James Struthers and Lucy A. Pennock.
Parents of Mrs. Struthers (Cora Viola Coe) were William Henry Coe and Olive C. Hayes.
