Dr. B. L. Meurer And
Wife Adopt A Daughter

Dr. and Mrs. B. L. Meurer of
Adair have taken into their home
a four weeks old girl and will
raise her as their daughter. They
went to Davenport after her April
8. The little one was secured from
the Iowa Soldiers Orphanage and
they expect to secure adoption
papers as soon as possible. They
have named the little girl Sharon
Kay (1937-1967).

Dr. Meurer is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Meurer of near Ham-
lin and Mrs. Meurer is a daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Ridgley of
this place.

Note: Parents of Bernard Leroy "Doc" or "B. L." Meurer were Frank Anthony Meurer and Jennie Etta May.
Parents of Joy Rene Ridgley were Francis William "Will" Ridgley and Winifred Faith "Went" Martin.
