New Agriculture Club
Holds First Meeting

The first meeting of the newly
organized Agriculture club was
held at the Exira school house last
Thursday night. There were 16
present. The following officers
were chosen: Bernard Wolf, presi-
dent; Emmert Paulsen, vice presi-
dent, and Bertraum Jensen, sec-
retary-treasurer.

Dr. H. G. Smith local veterinar-
ian, gave a very interesting and
helpful talk on the subject, "Sani-
tation and Diseases." After the
talk came a period of open discus-
sion during which the boys present
asked questions and discussed the
possible solutions to their problems.

This new organization consists of
a few real musicians, so after the
discussions four songs were sung by
Ilo Leist and Richard Schlater and
one was played by Bernard Wolf.

At the close of the meeting the
organization played games and
were entertained by a number of
boxing matches. At a late hour
lunch was served.
