Legion Elects Officers

Election of officers was held at the
meeting of the Ballou Post of the
American Legion on Monday eve-
ning. Those chosen for the ensuing
year were Peter Jessen, Commander;
Peter Thielen, vice commander; T. E.
Halferty, adjutant; Alfred Baker,
sergeant-at-arms; Dr. R. H. Payne,
chaplin; Fred Klever, historian, and
Chas. N. Hansen, trustee.

At the meeting it was planned to
have a big day and night in Exira on
Armistice Day. A commitee com-
posed of Peter Jessen, Roy Hensley,
R. M. Slotten and Ben Jensen was ap-
pointed to make arrangements for a
program that would really be worth
while.
