The Audubon County Corn Show
held at Audubon Saturday, Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday proved to be
a successful affair. A large list of
entries appeared on the racks ar-
ranged by Audubon men for the ex-
hibit.

R. H. Petty of Elliott and M. A.
Hauser of Ames, judges at the show,
selected the ten ear sample of yellow
corn owned by Jim Rourick of Bray-
ton as the grand championship ex-
hibit. The same exhibitor also won
sweepstakes honors with a ten ear
sample of white corn.

The sweepstakes award for single
ear exhibit went to Ed Nelson of
near Brayton.

Melville Wins in Parade

In the big parade of floats, held on
Wednesday, Melville township won
first prize. The float represented a
home of plenty made entirely of corn
and showed that an extra-ordinary
amount of work had been put on it.

Greeley township won second place
with its float, a map of Iowa also made
entirely of corn. The float from Viola
(t)ownship was awarded third place.
