Mrs. Nelson, the beloved wife of John Nelson, the industrious stone mason, died at the family residence on Diagonal street, about 11 o'clock, last Friday evening, from a stroke of apoplexy.

She was in her usual good health until about four o'clock Friday afternoon, when the first symptoms of indisposition were noticed. Mrs. Nelson was about 23 years old, and leaves a husband and two children to mourn her loss. She has no other relatives in this place, having been a step-daughter of Ole K. Gorder, who died some time since.

The funeral took place at one o'clock yesterday afternoon, the body being escorted from the house to the Norwegian Methodist church, south of the school house, by a large cortege of sorrowing friends, and after appropriate religious services were held over it, was taken to its last resting place in Oak Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Nelson was an exemplary wife and mother, and is spoken of in the highest terms by all who knew her. Her loss renders desolate a once happy home.

DIED - March 26, 1880, at her residence in this place, of Cerebral Apoplexy, Mrs. Ida Mary B. Nelson, wife of John Nelson, aged 23 years, 2 months, 15 days.

The deceased was the step daughter of Ole K. Gorder, and married to Mr. Nelson on the 16th Feb., 1875. She was a most excellent lady, with a very large circle of loving friends and relatives. She leaves two children.
