Brought Home for Burial

The remains of Mrs. L. Kirsch, nee Lottie Hartbauer, were brought here from San Francisco, California, yesterday, and laid away in the family lot in beautiful Oak Hill.

Deceased was born in this city Aug. 18th, 1860, and died on Sept. 2 after an illness of some months with pneumonia and abscesses. She was one of the three daughters of the late John Hartbauer and a thorough-going business woman, conducting a small millinery store here with her sisters in the early days but for over twenty-five years was connected with Gage Bros. & Co., wholesale millinery, Chicago, going to the golden state, two years ago with her husband, who was the San Francisco manager of the Hydrox-Chemical Co. Mr. and Mrs. Kirsch were married in Des Moines Nov. 20, 1883. Her father, mother, sister and two brothers also sleep in Oak Hill and one member of the family, a sister, Carrie, survives her.

Mr. Kirsch accompanied the remains and goes from here to New York City before returning to California. He has visited our city repeatedly and is a gentleman of refinement and splendid business qualifications. He has the sympathy of many friends in his bereavement.

The Charles Barthell family and other Waukon relatives of deceased attended the funeral, which was direct from the train, Rev. Kegel officiating.
