We made a brief mention last week of the death of Mrs. Henry Kosbau of this city, which occurred suddenly Sunday afternoon at Merrill, Iowa, where she was visiting her sister, Mrs. Frank Kehrberg.

The remains arrived here Tuesday night and the funeral was held Thursday afternoon, services at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Gundacker, and at Zion Reformed church conducted by the pastor, Rev. G.D. Elliker. Burial took place in Oakland Cemetery.

Amelia Halbreder was born in Germany 65 years ago and came to this country as a child. She was united in marriage with Henry Kosbau Jan. 4, 1884. They made their home on the farm a few miles southeast of Waukon until a few years ago, when they took up their residence in Waukon.

They were the parents of nine children. A daughter Esther, died Dec. 26, 1918, and her husband preceded her in death three months ago.

Four daughters and four sons, all living in Waukon or vicinity, are left to mourn the loss of a loving mother. They are Mrs. Albert Gundacker, Mrs. Paul Larson, Mrs. John Jacobson, Mrs. Karl Groezinger, Charles, Theodore, John and Henry.
