KOSBAU, KROPFGANZ, KLEES, OWENS, DEPPING

Funeral services for Mrs. August Kosbau were held Friday afternoon in the Zion Reformed church in Waukon with the Rev. F.E. Stucki officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Oakland cemetery.

Mrs. Kosbau passed away Tuesday last in the home of her son Edward east of Waukon after an illness of five years duration.

The deceased, a lifelong resident of Allamakee county, was born in Hanover township on January 12, 1866, bring in her 74th year when death occurred.

As Anna Kropfganz, she was married to Aug. Kosbau on Feb. 28, 1888 in Waukon. Six children were born to this union, a daughter, Mrs. Selma Klees, whose tragic death occurred in an automobile accident on September 11, 1931; and four sons, who survive to mourn the loss of their mother, Edward, Otto, Albert, George and Clarence, all of Waukon and vicinity.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Emma Owens of Franklin, Ind.; Mrs. Dena Depping of Waukon; one brother, John Kropfganz of Butte, Mont.; and seven grandchildren.
