Waukon, Ia., June 15 - Word has been received by Waukon relatives of the death of James Kelley, 7, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kelley, formerly of this place, but now residents of Fort Smith, Ark.
The boy died of scarlet fever at Powhaske, Okla., where he had been visitig with his mother at the home of his maternal grandparents.
He is survived by his parents, two younger brothers, John Dutton Kelley and Paul Richards Kelley, and by his maternal and paternal grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Dutton of Powhaski, Okla., and Mr. and Mrs. John F. Kelley of Waukon.
His parents both formerly resided here, his mother having been Miss Nell Dutton prior to their marriage.
