Waukon, Ia., Sept. 29 - William Cowan, a former Allamakee boy, born and reared here, died at his home in Chicago Tuesday. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Cowan, both deceased, and was born in Jefferson township, Jan. 25, 1881, later residing in Waukon.
On Sept. 8, 1909, he was married to Miss Iva B. Craven of Clinton, Ia., who survives him Two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Dayton of Waukon and Mrs. Peter Regan of Chicago also survive, with one brother, J.D. Cowan of Waukon.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Chicago, with burial at Clinton, Ia.
