DIED - At the residence of her father, Mr. Lawrence McNamee, near Colesburg, Delaware Co., Iowa, on the 9th inst., Martha E. wife of Wm. H. Otis, of Village Creek, and sister of C.L. McNamee.

The deceased was a lady of such rare excellence and deportment, tha the tidings of her death were received with sorrow by the entire [illegible words] which [illegible words]

Mrs. Otis traveled East with her husband, to visit the Centennial last fall, [illegible words] ... father's home where surrounded by sorrowing husband and friends, here death took place. She leaves four children, the youngest seven years old to mourn the loss of an affectionate and devoted mother.
