Photo of the "Audubon Popcorn Wagon", believed to be circa 1920's-1930's. Multiple individuals seem to have operated popcorn wagons in Audubon County.

Audubon County Journal, June 25, 1914: GEORGE KNESS' NEW PEANUT WAGON
Dick York yesterday morning sold a peanut and popcorn wagon to Geo. E. Kness of Exira. Dick telegraphed the order in to the firm from which he obtains them and recieved [sic] a return wire that the wagon would be shipped next Tuesday. Mr. Kness will operate his new purchase in his home town.

Audubon County Journal, July 16, 1914: Attention, Gond [sic Good] People
I will have my popcorn and peanut wagon running by Saturday evening. Everybody come. A free sack for all the little tots.
I have lived among the people of Audubon Co. for thirty-five years and expect to stay with you. I will have fresh popcorn and warm peanuts all the time. Call and smaple my toods. Courteous treatment and fresh goods all the time.
Yours respectfully,
GEORGE E. KNESS
First Door East of Post Office.

Audubon County Journal, April 22, 1915: Ray Bolton now has his popcorn wagon located at his old stand just east of the Fred Cotton store. He moved there from in front of the Smith Barber shop, Monday.

Audubon County Journal, Dec. 9, 1915: Ray Bolton has been sick the past week with quincy and not able to [come] down to the popcorn wagon.

Audubon County Journal, June 28, 1917: POP CORN AT PETER JORGENSENS -- Peter Jorgensen has purchased a new popcorn wagon and will sell freshly popped corn in his store on Saturdays.
