Dear Fred,

Will drop you a few lines. Want to tell don't pay any attention to what the people say. Just let them rave till they get their satisfaction about the renting of the farm. If Faga don't want the ground, let Charlie Arnburg have it. I don't believe all I hear. Sal wrote that they heard Arp rented it, but I knowed darn well that I would have heard about it from you before you would have rented it to him. I'd rather not have any body live on the place, as it most gernally [sic generally] ruins buildings to let renters live in them, as most people don't care what damage they do. So don't worry if I hear anything that don't sound just as it ought to, I will write and ask you before I believe it.

Well old pal, I'll ring off for this time. Will write more next time. Write when you can. God Bless you and yours.

I remain as ever you Brother Herbert. I am officer's orderlie now $10.00 a month extra.
