STAPLE AND FANCY GROCERIES.--This familiar line of business is well represented in Audubon and a house that is first-class in every respect and has attracted a large share of the public patronage, is the well known and reliable house of Consigny & Buthweb. Mr. J. F. Consigny is one of the pioneer business men of the city, first engaging in business here in Oct. 1879. The firm of Consigny & Buthweg has existed since Oct. 15, 1890. The senior member of the firm is from Avoca, Iowa, the junior member, Mr. Buthweg, is a native of Prussia. Both gentlemen are thorough grocery-men, are posessed [sic possessed] of a keen conception of the wants of the public, are pleasant in every bussiness [business] transaction and ambitious to please. Their house is undoubtedly a model grocery establishment where you cannot fail to find anything you want in this line. Nothing that is cheap, stale or adulterated is allowed on the shelves or counters of this model grocery house. Strictly first-class goods at reasonable prices, polite attention from proprietors and courteous assisstants have always been features that have added much to the popularity of the firm. Both are highly respected and worthy gentlemen.
