Spencer Nurse to Duty Overseas

Spencer, Ia -- Miss Esther Youde, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Youde of Langdon, has enlisted for overseas duty as a Red Cross nurse. She has left here for Camp Crowder, Missouri, where she will receive training before being sent abroad.

Miss Youder is a graduate of the State University of Iowa school of nursing. Since graduation in 1940 she has been employed at the Presbyterian hospital in Chicago and at Iowa City.

Another former Milford girl is also stationed at Camp Crowder. She is Lieut. Esther Youde, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Glen Youde of Langdon, who formerly resided two and a half miles west of Milford. Miss Youde entered the service July 8, 1942. She is a graduate of nursing school at the University hospital at Iowa City.
