WAVES of the Day

The Turner sisters, Carroll LaRue and Ethel Mae, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Turner of Bonaparte, Ia., are now apprentice seaman in the WAVES, and are awaiting orders to report to Hunter college, New York City, N.Y. for their navy "boot" training.

They both attended Farmington high school where Carroll was active in basketball, kittenball and glee club. At the present time, they are both employed at the International Harvester Co.

They have one brother in the service, Pvt. Merrill Tuner, with the army in Camp Livingston, La.
