Pfc. Caroline B. Thomas, daughter of Carl Thomas, 2418 Marshall Avenue, has been promoted from private to her present rank at the Marine Corps Air Station at Cherry Point, N.C. She entered the Marine Corps November 2, 1943, at San Francisco and is now on duty as a bookkeeper at Cherry Point, the largest marine air base. She was employed as a welder by the Kaiser Corporation at San Francisco prior to enlisting.
