SHEFFIELD - Miss Bertha Stover left Saturday for St . Louis, Mo., where she has accepted a position as administrative assistant in the Red Cross headquarters.

SHEFFIELD -- Ensign Bertha Stover, who is stationed at the naval training center, San Diego, Cal., came Monday for a few days' leave with her mother, Mrs. John Stover.

MARRIED IN WEST -- Mrs. John Stover of Sheffield announces the marriage of her daughter, Bertha, to Lt. Comm. Charles Starkus of the U.S. Navy, performed July 18 in the naval training center of the San Diego, Cal. The bride who enlisted in the WAVES in 1943 and holds the rank of ensign, is a graduate of Iowa State Teachers college and the University of Michigan. She taught in Ottumwa and was engaged in Red Cross work in the headquarters at St. Louis before going to Smith college, Northhampton, Mass., for her WAVE training.
