Shirley Stanton, formerly of Des Moines, now is taking boot training in the WAVES at Hunter college, New York City. She is a graduate of East High School.

Shirley Stanton Becomes Bride in Yakima, Wash.

Miss Shirley Stanton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.F. Stanton of Bremerton Wash, formerly of Des Moines, became the bride of William Dean Cooper of Yakima, Wash, Nov 10 at the Pioneer church in Ahtanum, Wash. Mrs. Riley Cooper was matron of honor and Mr. Cooper was his brother's best man.

The bride was graduated from East High school in Des Moines and was yeoman, first class, in the WAVES, from which she was discharged Aug. 20. She received her training at Hunter college, N.Y and Stillwater, Okla.

Mr. Cooper, son of Mrs. Robert Bahannon of Yakima, is on terminal leave following six years service with the marine corps.
