Private Helen A. Stanton, a native of Onawa and a former civilian employee at the Sioux City army air base, is visiting friends here and in Onawa, following four months of service in the WAC, Private Stanton has been on duty in a hospital unit at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Helen A. Stanton, whose home is at 2309 S. Cleveland Street, has been promoted to private first class. She is assigned to the Wac detachment of the tank destroyer school, Camp Hood, Texas.
